Invincibles Team

The team of the 2003/2004 season was managed by Arsene Wenger, one of the most influential and iconic managers the premier league has ever seen. Within the team there was a balancing blend of experience, youth and overall great talent. The team's strong structure was created and held by icons such as Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp. Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell. The team's strong defense was led by the captain Patrick Vieira in the midfield and a solid back line including players Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Lauren and Kolo Toure, with Jens Lehmann being the goalkeeper for most of the season.

The 2003/2004 Premier league season was historic for Arsenal FC and football. What Arsenal achieved this season was near impossible and unheard of in the entire history of the premier league. Out of the 38 games Arsenal played, the team won 26 games and drew 12, not losing one. This is one of the greatest achievements in the club's history.

Followed by being defensibly sound, Arsenals also had clinical attack. The team had a free flowing and attractive style of playing football, with Thierry Henry as the standout player of the season. That season Henry scored 30 premier league goals, winning the golden boot. The Invincibles secured the Premier League title very comfortably, finishing 11 points ahead of Chelsea FC in 2nd. Arsenal's unbeaten streak even extended into the next season being 49 league games undefeated, being beat by rivals Manchester United. Despite this loss the 2003/2004 season remains a symbol of excellence, discipline, and achievement in English football.
